Today, the Cloth Hall is primarily a place where there are numerous stores selling souvenirs, handicrafts and artistic regional products. They offer tourists the opportunity to purchase traditional Polish souvenirs, as well as works of art and handicrafts by local artists. Due to its location and character, the rooms of the first floor of the Cloth Hall building became the first headquarters of the National Museum in Cracow. Initially, the museum shared the space with the Society of Friends of Fine Arts.

This iconic site is an important part of the landscape of Krakow's Main Square and is one of the most visited tourist sites.

The exhibition at the Cloth Hall is presented in the following four rooms:

• The Bacciarelli Room: the Enlightenment - showing the art of the second half of the 18th and early 19th centuries,

• Michalowski Hall: Romanticism. Toward a national art - whose issues focus on national themes in art,

• Siemiradzki Hall: Around the academy - presenting issues relevant to academic teaching in the second half of the 19th century,

• Chełmoński Hall: Realism, Polish Impressionism, the beginnings of Symbolism - collecting works that foreshadow the art of Young Poland, exhibited in the museum's Main Building.
